The Morning Roar: Obamacare Exemptions Could Mean Trouble For Insurers, NSA Struggles to Recruit, and Ex-Cop Sergeant Says Fight ALL Speeding Tickets

Welcome to (almost) the weekend! Your Friday Morning Roar! 90% of Uninsured Under Obamacare Won't Pay Penalties Oh, Obamacare. You never cease your gifts of wonderment and surprise. In previous articles I've railed against the unconstitutional tax/penalty that would be levied against those who chose not to buy into the state-mandated healthcare system, it turns out that the government has provided so many loopholes and exemptions that it could be causing another problem. The new issues hit insurers, and by virtue of that, all of us.From Zero Hedge:

No insurance, no penalty appears to be Obamacare's new meme as The Wall Street Journal reports almost 90% of the nation's 30 million uninsured won't pay a penalty in 2016 because of a growing batch of exemptions to the health-coverage requirement. In the interests of socialism, the Obama administration has provided 14 ways people can avoid the fine (on top of exemptions carved out under the 2010 law for groups including illegal immigrants, members of Native American tribes and certain religious sects). The list of exemptions runs deep but one exemption for people who "experienced another hardship obtaining health insurance" (requiring documentation if possible but not requiring it) has been notably criticized as too broad. The penalties were intended as a cudgel to increase the number of people signing up, thereby maximizing the pool of insured. Insurers are concerned that the exemptions could make it easier for younger, healthier people to forgo coverage, leaving the pools overly filled with old people or those with health problems. That, in turn, could cause premiums to rise.Patrick Getzen, vice president and chief actuary at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, said he saw more "older and sicker people" enrolled in 2014 than projected. He attributed some of that to the weakened mandate.

Obamacare...designed theoretically to force people who can afford insurance to pay for it so that their medical bills aren't passed on to the rest of us, driving up the price of healthcare. Additionally, those that don't yet need healthcare would pay for those that do. This was how things were drawn up in the dream Obamacare scenerio.  Yet all we have seen is increased costs for everyone's healthcare, in every possible way.NSA Struggling to Recruit the Best & Brightest The NSA is predictably finding it hard to recruit the next generation of spies and scumbags to pry into the lives of innocent Americans. It might be that whole Edward Snowden thing that's getting in the way - plus the social stigma associated with anyone who might throw their lot in with the most hated organization in government (yes, even more than the IRS I dare say!). The NSA has turned its sights towards Silicon Valley, which is...not going so great. From Reuters:

Anne Neuberger, special assistant to NSA Director Michael Rogers, said this week she feared the agency would no longer be able to recruit top technologists, since former contractor Edward Snowden blew the lid off the extent of its spying activities.

At a seminar organized by the non-profit LongNow Foundation in San Francisco, she extended a plea to an audience replete with tech workers to consider a career in government, or at least apply for a fellowship.

Silicon Valley has a reputation for disdain of government regulation, and many of its largest players from Google to Twitter have been outspoken in their criticism of the spy agency in the wake of Snowden's revelations.

Considering the constant stream of information that is coming out of Glenn Greenwald over at the Intercept, I don't see the worm turning anytime soon. Oh, and Anne also had this hilarious gem of a quote:

The NSA spent months "soul-searching" and now plans to engage with the media. It is already in talks to extend privacy protections abroad and has started taking meetings, she added. The NSA is eager to make versions of previously classified documents available to the public.

Hahahaha I'm sure they are. Why, I can think of a ton of documents they have declassified and released to the public recently...like...that one...wait, no..no.Ex-Police Sergeant Tells You How and Why You Should Fight ANY Speeding Ticket I grabbed this from the Liberty Crier, but the original story is posted at driftspec.com. An ex-cop has posted a first person narrative detailing exactly how and why you should fight any and all speeding tickets. His name is Stan, and he's fed up like the rest of us are with the scam that is speeding & parking tickets, or "revenue generators" that the state takes more than full advantage of.

I am so annoyed at what is happening these days, in what I call “Indiscriminate revenue gathering” It is absolutely disgusting. The government and the Police Force need to hang their heads in shame. If you did a survey of current serving members of the police forces in this country, you would be hard pushed to find many who disagree with me.I know how the legal system works, and I know how to beat the system. This is how to do it, and if about 10% of all drivers booked follow my specific instructions, then the entire system will crash and become unworkable to the extent, that the government will have no choice but to stop issuing fines for every type of traffic offence. The whole lot of them. Seriously.1. Do not accept the alleged offence. There are numerous valid reasons to dispute every single alleged offence. Often the charges are incorrect or the evidence is illegally or incorrectly gathered.2. Challenge it, tell them that you are going to defend the matter. Make them earn their miserable $150 or $200 or whatever. They have to prepare evidence and witnesses. Just the wages for the camera operator or the Policeman on the day of the court, will be more than the actual fine. You are also taking a camera operator or a member of the Police Force off the street for the day. But it won’t get to that point…..read on….3. If a court date is ever set, and it does not suit you, do not accept it, ask for a delay to a time and place that suits you.

There are 5 more steps in Stan's advice column. Let's put this plan into action.Read The Morning Roar every weekday Monday-Friday!The Lions of Liberty are on TwitterFacebook & Google+Receive access to ALL of our EXCLUSIVE bonus audio content – including “Conspiracy Corner”, “Degenerate Gamblers” and the “League of Liberty Podcast” by joining the Lions of Liberty Pride and supporting us on Patreon!
