In today's flagship Lions of Liberty podcast, host Marc Clair welcomes back the now first Libertarian Congressman in U.S. history, Congressman Justin Amash! Congressman Amash returns to the show to explain why, after declaring his independence from political parties just nine months ago, now finds himself joining the Libertarian Party to seek it's Presidential nomination. Amash answers common criticisms from small "l" libertarians and Libertarian Party members alike, including that of his late entry into the LP race and recent comments he has made in the mainstream media. Amash defends his remarks regarding cash payments for American citizens and the armed protestors at the Michigan state capitol. Amash makes the pitch for why LP delegates should choose him over the myriad candidates, many of whom have been running in the race and debating for well over a year.
